Em-8ER, in conjunction with graphics powerhouse, Nvidia, has announced a new dynamic, highly tessellated, dynamic navel technology called NavelWorks. Solving the age-old problem of not enough aggressive, exposed navel in videogames, the two companies have teamed up to develop a suite of tools for Unreal and Unity engines to dynamically render high-quality navel on demand, even in games that do not support native navel capabilities.
Using the amazing power of Nvidia GPUs, navel can be fully rendered, in real-time, on nearly any character model in any game. Demonstrated here is the technology at play on Em-8ER’s “Shifter” alien race. “Shifters aren’t born with navels,” explained Em-8ER’s Creative Director and Navel Visionary Mark Kern, “but after we posted images of navel-less enemies in Em-8ER, the community flew into an uproar. I’m known for my navel work and fans demanded we add them everywhere. With the power of nVidia NavelWorks, we were able to add these dynamically as a post-processing effect, without costly and tedious re-modeling.”

NVidia CEO, Jensen Huang added, “We’ve entered new markets in supercomputing and AI, but never have we penetrated the navel marketplace. It is virgin territory, perfect for the extreme capabilities of our GPUs. We are pleased to partner with Em-8ER to save them precious development time through use of our combined research into navel enhancement.”
NVidia NavelWorks will be made available as a plug-in on both the Unreal and Unity markeplaces for free. “We don’t believe in charging for aggressive navel,” continued Mark Kern, “Navel is a God-given right for all humans, and now we have the technology to spread that to alien races as well, at least in games. It’s never been a more exciting time.”
